Engineering conglomerate Punj Lloyd on Wednesday said it has won two contracts worth Rs 1,154.61 crore.

The contracts include the group's first infrastructure project in Libya and an oil and gas contract from Cairn Energy India Ltd, Punj Lloyd Group said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.


Punj Lloyd bagged infrastructure and utility project worth Rs 1,050.05 crore from Housing and Infrastructure Board of Tripoli, Libya, in joint venture with Public Works Company Tripoli (PWCT). The four-year project comprises upgrading infrastructure of Arada, an existing township in Tripoli, Libya, it said.

The second project worth Rs 104.56 crore has been awarded by Cairn Energy India Ltd, it said.

The new contract from Cairn Energy would include engineering, procurement and construction of a pipeline in a stretch of 56.52 km.

Under this project, scheduled to be completed in seven months, the company would lay a crude oil heated and insulated pipeline and a gas pipeline in section II for the Mangla Development Project, in Gujarat.

Besides laying of the pipeline, Punj Lloyd would also construct three generator heating stations to heat the crude oil and the gas, it said.
